How Capitalist Exchange Disciplines Workers and Subverts Democracy<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(London: Bloomsbury, 2022). The book examines how the state and capital use markets to discipline the working class, providing a comprehensive overview of the European political economy, from the European Commission to the workplace, to show how neoliberal principles translate into market mechanisms and reshape the lives of workers.<br><em>\u00a0<\/em><br>In an informal exchange with the authors,\u00a0<strong>\u00c9tienne Cantin<\/strong>\u00a0(Universit\u00e9 Laval),\u00a0<strong>Philippe Pochet<\/strong>\u00a0(ETUI) and\u00a0<strong>Valeria Pulignano<\/strong>\u00a0(KU Leuven) will discuss their main take-aways from the book.\u00a0<strong>Vincent Pasquier<\/strong>\u00a0(HEC Montr\u00e9al) will act as facilitator for this discussion.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>This\u00a0webinar\u00a0will take place on\u00a0<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/hecmontreal.zoom.us\/j\/89228306773\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Zoom<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, on\u00a0<strong>Monday March 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0at 12:00<\/strong>, Montreal time.
