It will take place on <strong>Zoom, on May 15 at 9h15 am<\/strong> (Montreal time ; 2h30 pm in London and 3h30 pm in Paris\/Bruxelles).<br><br>ChatGPT, a conversational bot developed by California-based OpenAI, has grown in popularity since it opened to the public on November 30, 2022. Tens of millions of users are already interacting daily with this text-generating AI for assistance with a variety of tasks, whose scope is still difficult to quantify. The IT and marketing sectors have already incorporated ChatGPT features into their daily activities, and real productivity gains can be seen in these sectors as a result of it. How is it used in academia and what are the repercussions?<br><br>Face aux nombreuses questions soulev\u00e9es par l\u2019utilisation de ChatGPT dans le monde universitaire (propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle, plagiat, fausses informations, absence de sources, redondance du ou de la chercheuse, etc.), le Comit\u00e9 de coordination des affaires \u00e9tudiantes du CRIMT a d\u00e9cid\u00e9, en collaboration avec l\u2019Axe industrie 4.0, travail et emploi de l\u2019Observatoire international sur les impacts soci\u00e9taux de l\u2019IA et du num\u00e9rique (OBVIA), d\u2019organiser un \u00e9change informel sur le sujet. <br><br>Researchers (<strong>Raja Chatila<\/strong>, Emeritus Professor at Sorbonne Universit\u00e9, <strong>Pamela Lirio<\/strong>, Professor at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Pinto<\/strong>, Senior Applied Research Scientist at MILA &#8211; Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute) and graduate students (<strong>Kai-Hsin Hung<\/strong>, HEC Montr\u00e9al, and\u00a0<strong>Romain Bertrand<\/strong>, IRISSO, Paris-Dauphine) will participate in a roundtable discussion.
